I would definitely recommend Dr Haroun Gajraj without hesitation. At our first consultation he listened to my concerns and answered all of my questions and made me feel completely at ease and my worries vanished. Dr Gajraj performed an ultrasound scan on my right leg explaining exactly what had caused the horrible bulging he told me what he believed would be the best treatment for me. Dr Gajraj took time to explain what would happen he even drew diagrams to enhance my understanding. He said I would need Endo-Venus Laser (EVL) followed by Micro Phlebectomy. So although the treatment was not inexpensive I decided to go ahead with the treatment and I am extremely glad I did. Throughout my dealings with Dr Gajraj and all his staff I have found them to be professional, knowledgable and polite at the same time friendly and caring. The treatment was pain free and as I was interested in the procedure Dr Gajraj let me look as he worked on my leg. I was not worried or nervous at all I felt complete trust in his ability and skill. The results have been fantastic .Dr Gajraj has even given me copies of the clinical photographs. I have gone from hiding my leg from everyone even my husband to feeling confident enough to start swimming again and enjoying wearing skirts and dresses again after many years of constant trouser/jean wearing. I just wish I'd met Dr Gajraj years ago and had the treatment before.. If you are thinking of having this treatment done I would whole-heartedly recommend Dr Gajraj .

Having seen another doctor to consult on my veins, seeing Mr Gajraj was a very different experience. I felt he wanted to do what was right for me rather than himself. everything was explained and discussed and I had total confidence in what he offered.

I have visited dr Haroun Gajrai, together with a colleague vascular surgeon and friend of mine. We expected him to be a very well educated and performing phlebological vascular surgeon. He proved even to be more than that. We were welcomed very cordially. We saw a very dedicated physician at work, operating deftly and secure, treating patients and staff relaxed and gentle alike. In the meantime he found time for rewarding and throughout-provoking debates with us! An excellent teacher and excellent doctor. Even the restaurant he advised us to have our last meal on English ground, proved to be superior, a three star Michelin experience: Little Barwick House at Yeovil, the kind of restaurant your want to travel hundreds of miles for! Mr. Cornelis M.A. Bruijninckx, MD, PhD, vascular surgeon in The Netherlands.

Some years ago I had major life-saving surgery and now have an impaired immune system due to medication, so when I was told that my varicose veins could only be treated by an operation under general anaesthetic, I decided to ignore them; exposing myself to the risks of surgery for a non-essential condition is not an option. As my veins worsened, I decided to look for another solution and luckily I came across Dr. Gajraj's very comprehensive website. It was relief to learn that he was totally against traditional surgery as a cure for varicose veins and I made an appointment to see him. Dr. Gajraj was very welcoming and he explained the treatment he proposed in detail. He gave me ample opportunity to discuss all my concerns and I left the consultation feeling very confident that I was making the right choice. The procedure itself - VNUS Closure with Sclerotherapy and Phlebectomy - went very smoothly and was virtually pain-free; a few of the local anaesthetic injections stung a little. Dr. Gajraj explained each part of the treatment as he went along and his nurse, Kim, was wonderfully attentive and reassuring throughout. Within an hour and a half it was all over and, after a short rest, I was ready to go home. I removed the bandages after 48 hours and virtually all the bruising faded within three weeks. Six weeks later I had a follow-up check and the same procedure on the other leg. The difference now in the appearance of my legs is quite amazing. All the very prominent veins have completely disappeared and my legs look as they did ten years ago, which I never thought possible. It just remains to say a huge "thank you" to Dr. Gajraj and to Kim for their care and remarkable skills. Sarah Hamilton
